COA's Research Mission
…to conduct, facilitate, and disseminate interdisciplinary research that improves the quality of care and well-being of older adults, their families and the communities in which they live.
The two most active areas of research in the COA are led by:
- Dr. Nancy Bergstrom, who is researching techniques to prevent and treat pressure ulcers; and
- Dr. Sharon K. Ostwald, who studies quality of life issues for stroke survivors and their caregivers
