The 2021 PARTNERS Spring Luncheon will honor Jane Cizik, who with her late husband, Robert, made a foundational gift to Cizik School of Nursing in 2017 and has long contributed to PARTNERS. The event will be chaired by Allison Edwards, DrPH, MS, RN. Please check this site later for updates and details.
Highlights from 2019 Spring Luncheon
The 25th Celebration of PARTNERS was spectacular! Award-winning film producer and author, Carolyn Jones, brought her compelling stories of “The American Nurse” and “Defining Hope” from New York City to an enthusiastic and reverent crowd of Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth PARTNERS supporters. Her most recent film documenting emergency department nurses will be released soon.
Ms. Jones, a cancer survivor, focuses on nurses because she was grateful for the nurses that helped her in her own battle with cancer. Many of the PARTNERS ardent supporters state the same ideology.
The fundraising luncheon took place on Thursday, April 4, 2019, at the River Oaks Country Club and was Co-Chaired by Drs. Kelli Cohen Fein and Sippi Khurana. Approximately $150,000 was raised in support of scholarships, research, and Cizik School of Nursing programs. View the photos from the 2019 luncheon.
Kenneth and Carla Diaz-Lewis were honorees at the 25th celebration for their continued support of Cizik School of Nursing. Pictured above (L-R), Mrs. Dias-Lewis delivers a large supply of hand sanitizer to Dean Diane Santa Maria for students to use during the COVID-19 pandemic.
From birth through illness to the end of life journey, the nurse is the HEART and HANDS of medicine.
