Cole, Page named track coordinators

(August 11, 2020) Two Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth faculty members are taking on new leadership roles within our Department of Graduate Studies effective August 31. Assistant Professors Linda Cole, DNP, RN, CCNS, CPHQ, CNE, and Tonya Page, DNP, MAN, EN, ACNP-BC, are stepping up to become track coordinators for the Leadership and Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner programs, respectively. 

Dr. Cole began her nursing career in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and practiced in Houston hospitals for more than 35 years before joining our faculty in 2016. She held several leadership positions at CHI St. Luke’s Health, including manager and director-level roles in advanced clinical practice. She earned her BSN and MS in Health Education degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi and her MSN and DNP degrees here. 

Dr. Page also began teaching at Cizik School of Nursing in 2016 and earned her BSN, MSN, and DNP degrees here. She continues to practice as an ACNP at Memorial Hermann Hospital-TMC and brings two decades of clinical experience in multiple critical care settings including, CVICU, MICU, and CCU as well as transplant, surgical and burn ICUs.
