(July 10, 2019) – The National Institutes of Health through the National Institute of Nursing Research yesterday awarded Hyochol “Brian” Ahn, PhD, RN, Cizik School of Nursing’s Theodore J. and Mary E. Trumble Professor in Aging Research, and his team a R15 grant titled, “Self-Administered Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation for Pain in Older Adults with Knee Osteoarthritis: A Phase II Randomized Sham-Controlled Trial.”  The grant is funded for three years for $463,737.
