Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board
The mission of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) is to advance higher education for the people of Texas. The Universities and Health-Related Institutions Division coordinates oversight of academic matters for the state's public universities and health-related institutions of higher education.
The THECB Nursing Innovation Grant Program (NIGP) was established by the 77th Legislature to help relieve the state's nursing shortage and is funded with proceeds from the Texas Tobacco Lawsuit Settlement.
