Sara Lewandowski, DNP, MS, BA, BS, RN, CNE, HNB-BC, NC-BC, RYT, is a native Houstonian who has over 25 years of nursing experience. She began her nursing career as a student in the Texas Medical Center.
Lewandowski holds certification as a nurse educator through the National League for Nursing, as well as certification as a holistic nurse and nurse coach. She has worked in medical surgical, rehabilitation and management aspects of nursing. Lewandowski's scholarship interests include simulation and holistic health. She helped expand a simulation program for a 445-bed hospital in Houston during her doctoral program and has received several internal grants to improve simulation lab space, usage and faculty development. She has taught at both the associate degree and bachelor's degree levels for 10 years, serving as lead faculty and in administrative roles. Her teaching experience includes traditional clinical at nine hospitals throughout Houston, as well as didactic and online courses. She teaches several courses in the RN-BSN and Pacesetter BSN program at Cizik School of Nursing.
