Before You Apply

  • Research our programs: Select the one that will best meet your educational and career goals. Our Next Steps page can help. Please note that applications and fees are not transferable among programs, and fees are nonrefundable.
  • Review the application deadline page: Deadlines and starting terms vary among programs.
  • Gather your application materials: Check the webpage for your specific program of interest for a complete list of requirements. All application materials must be received by the deadline. We are unable process applications with missing or incomplete documentation.
  • Know your testing code: 
    • Pacesetter BSN applicants who completed all of their pre-requisites at other institutions must take either the HESI A2 entrance exam or the TEAS exam.
      • For the HESI A2 Entrance exam, use Department ID 198326.
      • For the TEAS exam, select Cizik School of Nursing: TEAS.
      • These tests are not required for students who successfully completed all science prerequisites offered through Cizik School of Nursing's Pre-Nursing pathway and meet requirements to apply for direct admission to the Pacesetter BSN program.
    • For the nurse anesthesia program, the school must be sent your GRE scores using the code 6906.

Please note that students admitted to Cizik School of Nursing must personally reside in the state of Texas before the first day of class. In addition, we are unable to sponsor students requiring F-1 visas.

Notification

Once an application is received, you will be assigned a seven-digit application ID and granted access to ApplyUTH, where you can track the status of your application materials.

Once a decision is made, ApplyUTH is updated with the application status. If you are admitted, you will receive an email and a letter in the mail. If you are denied, you will receive a letter in the mail.
