Dr. Madsen is a board certified Clinical Nurse Specialist in Oncology APRN. She has worked in the field of prostate cancer at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center for more than 20 years. Her research focuses on decision-making in newly-diagnosed, early stage prostate cancer patients. As an educator, she also has an interest in post-graduate Fellowship programs for APRNs.

Madsen received her BSN from University of Texas at Austin, her MSN in Clinical Research Management from UTHealth School of Nursing, with a post-graduate certificate as a CNS-Oncology. She is an Advanced Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist (AOCNS). In 2014, she received a PhD in Nursing at Texas Woman’s University.
