Event Description
Speaker: Ms. Cheryl L. Mee, MSN, MBA, RN, FAAN, Executive Editorial Director for the American Nurse Journal
Open to faculty, staff, students, and nurses in the community.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify roadblocks that stop potential nurse authors from submitting a manuscript for publication in a peer-reviewed nursing journal.
- Outline strategies to help nurse authors overcome their fears and improve their writing.
- Identify steps in the writing and editorial process from ideation to publication.
This event will provide 1.0 contact hour of nursing professional development. Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
