Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston honors and welcomes U.S. Armed Services veterans transitioning to civilian careers as nurses and active military personnel seeking to enhance their skills.

BSN for Veterans

A dedicated case manager works with veterans and active military members nearing their end of duty to help them prepare to apply for our Veterans BSN program. Those who have served in any military branch may apply regardless of previous health care training or experience.

Financial Aid for Veterans

By completing the general scholarship application on Cizik School of Nursing’s website, veterans will automatically be considered for relevant scholarships. Just ask our three 2023 recipients of full-ride scholarships from the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo^TM. Also, get the details on accessing your veterans educational benefits.

Navy Capt. Patrick Fitzpatrick, MSN, ENP, credits Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston with preparing him to advance through the ranks to lead both military and civilian operations at a Navy hospital just across Puget Sound from Seattle.
