Programs maintain high rankings
(March 29, 2022) – Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston’s commitment to academic excellence continues to be recognized by U.S. News & World Report (USNWR), which has ranked two of its graduate programs among the top 30 offered by public universities across the nation.
In the 2023 edition of U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools, Cizik School of Nursing’s Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs ranked first in Houston, second in Texas, and tied at 29th and 30th, respectively, among all public and private nursing programs nationally. The school’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program was similarly ranked when USNWR released its first-ever listing of undergraduate nursing programs in fall 2022.
“With the resources of both The University of Texas System and the world-renowned Texas Medical Center at our disposal, Cizik School of Nursing offers our students unique opportunities at the confluence of academic rigor and health care innovation,” said Dean Diane Santa Maria, DrPH, MSN, RN. “Congratulations to our faculty and staff on this honor as we work together to prepare the nurse leaders of tomorrow for success in the ever-changing health care environment.”
