Dr. Terri Armstrong is a Professor in the Department of Family Health at the UTHealth School of Nursing and holds the school’s prestigious Dunn Distinguished Professorship in Oncology Nursing.  She also is an Advanced Practice Nurse in the Department of Neuro-Oncology at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.

She received her BSN from the University of Akron, her Master's of Science and Postmaster's Nurse Practitioner degrees from The Ohio State University School of Nursing, and her PhD from UTHealth School of Nursing.

She has worked in the field of Neuro-Oncology since 1992, and is currently in a research faculty position with a focus on symptom assessment and management and myelotoxicity as well as a collaborative practice with Dr. Mark Gilbert.

She has published many manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals and over 15 book chapters on the care of patients with central nervous system tumors in addition to presenting on a regional, national, and international level.
