Amy Blok, DNP, CRNA
Amy Blok is a 2011 graduate of the UTHealth School of Nursing’s Nurse Anesthesia master’s program. Since then she has practiced as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in the Texas Medical Center. At UTHealth, she serves as a teaching associate for the nurse anesthesia program.
Blok is a member of state and national professional organizations, including the Texas Association of Nurse Anesthetists (TANA) and the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA). She recently presented at “Speak to be Heard: Improving Communication through Simulation” to encourage the use of simulation lab for non-technical skill development.
Blok maintains a clinical nurse anesthesia practice at the UT M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in addition to teaching the next generation of CRNAs and working to obtain her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree next year. She is focused on providing quality didactic and clinical education for nurse anesthesia students at the nursing school and on being an integral part of the faculty team.
