I teach in leadership courses across several programs. I am lead faculty for the undergraduate “Professional Practice & Leadership” course here at CSON, I teach in several courses in the MSN in Nursing Leadership Program, and I serve as an advisor in the Nurse Executive DNP Program. I am also Associate Faculty in The McGovern Center for Humanities & Ethics. In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I also serve as a CNE Nurse Planner for the Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth.
Prior to my faculty position in CSON at UT Health, I served most recently in the role of Director of Clinical Training & Development at Texas Children's Hospital. I received my BSN degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and my MSN and DrPH from UTHealth at Houston. My clinical background is pedi/adolescent hematology-oncology – I practiced at Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor and at MD Anderson. I enjoy spending time with my 2 daughters and 2 granddaughters, and I love to read.
