Christian P Owen, MSN, RN, CEN
Paige Owen is an Instructor of Clinical Nursing in the Undergraduate Department. She is an alumna of the Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth, where she received her BSN in 2007 and MSN in Leadership and Administration in 2019. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Nursing, also at Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth, with hopes of advancing knowledge and research on secondary traumatic stress among emergency nurses.
Mrs. Owen’s clinical background in grounded in emergency and trauma services. She has served in various roles including staff nurse, charge nurse, EMS Instructor, ED Educator, and Forensic Nurse Examiner. She holds board certification as an emergency nurse and is the 2019 scholarship recipient of the Joan D. Eberhardt Memorial Endowment from the Emergency Nurses Association Foundation.
Mrs. Owen is a member of state and national professional nursing organizations including American Nurses Association, Emergency Nurses Association, and Sigma Theta Tau International. Owen was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society in 2017 and has served as Vice President and currently, President of the Zeta Pi Chapter. Her work as Chapter President has led Zeta Pi forward resulting in the achievement of Zeta Pi’s fifth Chapter Key Award, the first in 18 years.
