Angela Nash, PhD, APRN, CPNP-PC, PMHS, CARN-AP, FIAAN is an Associate Professor in the department of Graduate studies of the Cizik School of Nursing. She is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, board certified in pediatric primary care, mental behavioral health, and addictions nursing in advanced practice. Dr. Nash is a Fellow of the International Academy of Addictions Nursing, which recognizes her expertise the areas of recovery from addiction and health problems related to substance use. Her clinical work involves treating substance use and other mental health issues in youth ages 13 to 20. A qualitative and mixed-methods researcher, most of her teaching at the Cizik School of Nursing has been in community health for undergraduates and research methods for graduate students.

Clinical/Research Focus
Dr. Nash’s research, speaking, and publications focus on health problems related to substance use, including prenatal exposure to substances and identifying best-practice models for promoting recovery from substance use disorders for adolescents (e.g Alternative Peer Groups, Recovery High Schools, and 12-step programs).
