Dr. Bridgette Pullis is an Associate Professor of Nursing and the director of the Veterans Bachelor of Science Program at Cizik School of Nursing at University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, Monroe, Louisiana in 1985. She has a Master of Science in Community Health Nursing from Texas Woman’s University, Denton, Texas in 1991 and she received the Doctor of Philosophy in Health Studies from Texas Woman’s University, Denton, Texas in 2006. She is a Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse. She has 30 years’ experience in community health nursing and has been a nurse educator for over 20 years, teaching community health nursing. She has given numerous invited presentations and has authored numerous articles and book chapters.
