Sydnee Lucas, DNP, RN, FNP-BC, is a Family Nurse Practitioner, Co-Coordinator for the Family Nurse Practitioner Track, and Assistant Professor of Graduate Studies – Clinical Track at the Cizik School of Nursing. Her teaching duties involve leading co-teaching across multiple courses in the graduate program.
She has a background working with pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients in under-resourced communities around Houston. She has presented on Adolescent Consent and Confidentiality, Social Determinant of Health Screenings, Management of Pediatric Behavioral Health Disorders in an Integrated Pediatric Medical Home, and Judicious Antibiotic Prescribing for Pediatric URI. Sydnee joined the faculty of UTHealth in January 2021.
Sydnee is Secretary for the Texas Chapter of the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine (TXSAHM). She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Zeta Pi chapter, AANP, TNP, NAPNAP, Doctors for Change and NONPF.
