Brandi L. Showalter

Brandi Showalter is an Assistant Professor at the Cizik School of Nursing, primarily teaching first-semester students and nursing research. She brings 20 years of clinical research experience across psychiatry, dermatology, and oncology, with prior clinical practice in critical care, med–surg, oncology, and psychiatry. She helped develop and led a first-of-its-kind Research Nurse Residency at MD Anderson and now serves as lead faculty for the UTHealth Houston Clinical Research Professional Workforce Training Program. Her scholarly interests focus on research ethics and the education and professional development of clinical research personnel.
