Keynote Speaker:

Carie Pickering, PhD, RN | Elder Mistreatment in Community Settings
Professor, Department of Research, Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston

Dr. Pickering is a geriatric nurse scientist and former long-term care ombudsman. Her research and practice has focused on supporting family caregivers to provide high-quality safe care in order to prevent the use of abuse and neglect.
