She is also a recipient of UTHealth Houston Cizik School of Nursing's Values Champion Award.
Dr. Kobeissi leads a productive program of scholarship focused on telehealth policy and safety, artificial intelligence literacy, and electronic health record usability in advanced practice nursing. Her peer-reviewed work appears in leading journals across nursing practice, education, and health informatics, and spans original research, national guidelines, and competency frameworks that inform practice and education at the system and national levels. She has advanced graduate nursing education through the development and integration of virtual simulation, asynchronous online learning, and telehealth competency frameworks. As a faculty leader, she has served in appointed roles at the school, system, and national levels, including the UTHealth Houston AI Taskforce, the Epic EHR Curriculum Review Board, and multiple terms on the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) Telehealth Committee, where she chairs subcommittees. She also serves on the American Heart Association's Telehealth Expert Panel.
Dr. Kobeissi’s career reflects a deliberate integration of clinical expertise, scholarly productivity, and national leadership, advancing the profession from practice to policy.
