Aggarwal, S. S., Ott, S. D., Padhye, N. S., Schultz, P.E. (2020). Sex, race, ADHD, and prior concussions as predictors of concussive recovery in adolescents Brain Injury, 1-9. doi:10.1080/02699052.2020.1740942

This was a retrospective study examining predictors of concussion recovery in adolescents ages 13 to 19 years old (n=227). The aim of this study was to identify clinical and demographic factors that predict concussion recovery times in adolescents. Significant predictors of protracted recovery were ADHD and prior in all sex and race groups, while shorter recovery times were predicted by Hispanic and African American race, with White females as the reference group.
