Teaching skills via simulation
The COVID-19 pandemic has increased the importance of simulations in teaching and in providing student nurses the opportunity to practice patient care skills.
Cizik School of Nursing at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston opened its expanded and remodeled Simulation and Clinical Performance Laboratory just before the pandemic began. Operations were quickly adjusted to create a safe space and enable students to meet clinical requirements.
