Lee named ETC track coordinator

Janice Lee

Janice Lee, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, has been named coordinator for the Emergency/Trauma Care (ETC) postgraduate track at Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston. Lee has taught ETC students as casual faculty and joins the school full-time effective Aug. 1, 2025, as an assistant professor in the Department of Graduate Studies.

“Dr. Lee is already a seasoned and important part of our team. She brings experience and energy to support continued growth in the state’s only academic emergency nurse practitioner track,” said Associate Dean for Graduate Studies Susan D. Ruppert, PhD, APRN, FNP-C, ANP-BC, FCCM, FNAP, FAANP, FAAN.

Since 2015, Lee has served as assistant director of advanced practice providers in the Department of Emergency Medicine at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. She maintains clinical practice at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center and Harris Health Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital.

Lee earned all of her nursing degrees at Cizik School of Nursing – a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing in the family nurse practitioner track, an ETC postgraduate certificate, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in biology and psychology from Houston Christian University.
