Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston offers state-of-the-art technology and well-equipped learning environments in a LEED® Gold certified building designed specifically for nursing education. Its sustainable design promotes health by considering human comfort, indoor air quality, and access to nature.
Advanced Technology for Clinical Experiences
Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston provides advanced technology to enable students to practice a wide range of clinical scenarios from childbirth to emergency medicine in its Simulation and Clinical Performance Laboratory (Sim Lab).
Testing Aging-in-Place Technology
The Cizik School of Nursing Department of Research designed the fully furnished, one-bedroom Smart Apartment to test technology to assist older adults who want to live independently in their own homes as they age.
Accurate, Reliable Laboratory Testing
The Center for Nursing Research (CNR) Bioscience Laboratory at the Cizik School of Nursing offers a wide array of accurate and reliable tests for clinical and research purposes. It holds a CLIA Certificate of Waiver from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

Our nurse-led clinics provide employee health services for all UTHealth Houston employees, occupational health services for large employers throughout the Houston area, and primary care services to individual patients.
The World’s Largest Medical Center
Located in the heart of the Texas Medical Center (TMC), Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth provides outstanding opportunities for interprofessional collaboration. Helix Park, a 37-acre research campus located just south of nursing school, will emphasize creative collaborations among leaders in health care, life sciences, and business.
