- Overview: The grant provides financial support to primary care nurse practitioner students at Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston. It funds traineeships and stipends for student trainees in the family nurse practitioner, psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner, and adult/gerontology primary care nurse practitioner tracks of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program. The grant also enables the school to expand curriculum, strengthen academic-clinical partnerships in underserved rural and urban areas, and provide professional development for preceptors and faculty.
