Effective for the Fall 2024 semester, applicants to the accelerated Pacesetter BSN program may take the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) or the official HESI A2 Exam to be considered for admission.

If you choose to take the TEAS, the scores from a test taken within two years of enrollment in the Pacesetter BSN program are required. The entire TEAS exam must be taken, which includes four sections.

A minimum score of 60% or higher is recommended on the TEAS. Scores are reported to the UTHealth Register at the end of every month. If an application deadline falls after that timeframe, Cizik School of Nursing has an agreement with the testing agency for those results to be sent on the next business day, thus allowing students to meet the application requirement.

The TEAS exam is administered by ATI. The exam is offered frequently at in-person texting centers in larger cities and remotely.

When registering for the TEAS, select "Cizik School of Nursing: TEAS" to have your scores sent to the school.
