Top students who accept their offer of admission to Cizik School of Nursing’s accelerated Pacesetter BSN program within 10 days of receipt will be eligible for a $1,000 scholarship, in addition to other financial aid or scholarships for which they may qualify. Pacesetter Accelerated BSN at a Glance

The Pacesetter BSN track is an entry-to-practice degree option designed for students looking to become a registered nurse. To qualify, you will need to have completed 60 hours of undergraduate prerequisites. Find out if the Pacesetter accelerated BSN track is right for you.

Gain hands-on skills through 900 hours of clinical experiences that begin your first semester. Apply for fall, spring, or summer start dates, and take courses both online and on campus.

Cizik School of Nursing's BSN program is approved by the Texas Board of Nursing. When you graduate, you will be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) in order to receive RN licensure.

You will receive outstanding, personalized instruction at Cizik School of Nursing and diverse clinical opportunities in the Texas Medical Center and throughout the Houston area. Many of our classes are taught by practicing nurses.

Real-world training is key. Our students participate in 900 hours of clinical experience that starts in the first semester. Nursing theory courses are offered in the first three semesters followed by a full-time, clinically intensive fourth semester. We also provide clinical experience labs and simulation to complement the didactic material.

Open New Career Pathways with a BSN Degree

Our BSN program, ranked #1 in Texas, teaches you critical thinking skills and prepares you for diverse careers. Once you complete your Bachelor of Science in Nursing, you will be eligible to take the National Council of Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) for licensure as a registered nurse. All Pacesetter BSN graduates are eligible for initial licensure in all 50 states after passing the NCLEX.

Our graduates are prepared for some of today’s most in-demand jobs. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reports that job growth for registered nurses of about 9% is expected to over the next decade, as more nurses are needed to fill many roles.
