MSN Family Nurse Practitioner Track

The sample curriculum below lists classes for Cizik School of Nursing's MSN Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) track. However, students are encouraged to explore the BSN to DNP option, which allows students to seamlessly advance their education to the doctoral level. In addition, nurses who have a graduate degree may prepare for certification as an FNP through the nondegree post-graduate completion program.

After being admitted to the FNP track, students can apply to concurrently enroll in the Emergency/Trauma Care post-graduate concentration.

Sample Curricula

The courses listed below are required for Cizik School of Nursing’s Master of Science in Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner track. Once admitted, the student will be given a per-semester degree plan. Lab classes may require days several on campus. Most nurse practitioner track courses are offered virtually with testing offered both remotely and on campus, based on the student’s preference.
